TRAINING

Please read the following information on training:

FAST START TRAINING - To be completed by all Den leaders. This is an online course. It provides the basics to introduce you to scouting. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. and can be found at http://www.scouting.org/cubscouts/faststart/.

NEW LEADER ESSENTIALS - To be completed by adult leaders. This includes the organization’s mission, it’s aim and methods, a look at the resources available to the leader through the Boy Scouts of America, as well as a clear understanding of Scouting’s expectations of its adult leadership. This course takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

LEADER SPECIFIC TRAINING - This course is to be taken by all leaders in regards to the type of Den you presently lead. This course is approximately 3 hours to complete.

PACK COMMITTEE MEMBERS -

BOY SCOUT LEADER SPECIFIC - This is a one day course for any new Boy Scout Leader. This training is for Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster. The fee for this course is $8.00 if registered before the cutoff date and $12 if you register after the cutoff date.

In addition, for anyone who has taken YOUTH PROTECTION FACILITATOR: Due to several changes in this program, all facilitators will need to be re-certified. There is a new facilitator course available.

Also, for anyone who has taken YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING: This training has a 3 year expiration. If your training has expired, you can take the training online. The site is http://www.ppbsa.org/
